940 wipers

The switch which is part of the mechanism has lost a reference. This is the one which ensures that the wipers are parked and also interacts with the intermittent circuitry. Try changing relay 117 which is the second on the right in the rear (third) row of relays on the relay tray (behind the fuse tray). The relay and the switch work together. All the best, Peter

Hi, Adding to Peters points there are 2 feeds to the wipers. One is switched and the other constant power. In effect when you switch on the wipers the switched supply provides power. When you switch off the constant power lead takes over providing power until the wipers reach park. Then a make/break in the motor cuts the constant power thus parking in the correct place. Finally fixed it. You were quite right - the relay was gone. So I put a new one in the empty space and hey presto. Geoff
